I just edited/did motion graphics for this video for Atlantic Records and for some reason right now it's only available in the US and UK so says the Muse website. Tons of kids around the world has chucked it onto YouTube so that others around the world can see it too. Bellow is a mirrored one, but hopefully Muse will chuck an HD version on their website for everyone around the world to see. I still don't know why record execs think rolling distribution works. Especially with a band that already has a pretty big worldwide name. Whatever, my mom doesn't know who they are. yet. haha. enjoy!
Have some other cool stuff in the line. Doing some compositing and titles work for a feature film called 'L.A., I Hate You.' It's going to be freakn' awesome so check out it's IMDB page.
Other then that, I met/interviewed this band called 'RATT' in Ventura, California. They are a rad metal band bringing about a comeback and touring with the Scorpions this summer. Did the interview for a friend at RoadRunner Records, guess it's for a Japanese show. Been hanging around the beach, working to finish up some top secret projects, one that was shot in Australia and I think you are all going to love. Stay tuned! Later!
This shirt I made a few years back for a hot-air balloon that I designed for my dad. He has this actual Hot-Air Balloon. I think there are pics of it in my facebook albums.
Where have I been the last few months? Living on Venice Beach, Making many DVDs of Kill Your Television and working on cool new stuff. Check it.
Just completed post on a Megadeth Music Video called 'The Right to go Insane'. Cut it, did some VFX helicopter shots, made it look all grainy and old like some of the stock footage of the tank on the streets ect. It was fun and I got a chance to work with the Director of 'Car 54 Where are You?' Bill Fishman.
Here is a slightly older cut of the video: Not sure how this one got released into the wild, but you know in todays world of constant video preolitheration it dosn't surprise me when uncompleted versions of thinsg hit the web before they are 100% ready to be viewed. The only diffrence in this one and the final one is I changed the grave stone at the end to say: Vic Rattlehead that is the alter ego of Megadeth frontman Dave Mustane.
Enjoy the vid!
I've also been doing some cool Motion Graphics/VFX work on some Healthy Choice commercials and some other corporate gigs that are still a bit hush hush at this point. All I can say is that I'm working on writing something heavy and my next personal project will be intense. Recently, I was awarded a VFX Scholarship to SCAD in Atlanta and will be heading there in August to complete my masters and futher my working knowledege of Performance Capture and an application developed on Lord of the Rings called Massive. Super stoked for the future and think I am going to get to meet Walter Murch tomorrow at Ebertfest in my hometown of Champaign, Illinois.

After an amazing trip backpacking up the east coast of Australia, swimming in waterfalls, swimming with sharks, scuba on the great barrier reef and meeting tons of amazing people, I'm now back in the U. S. of A! Spent 2 weeks in the snow around Chicago visiting family and friends and now I'm back in Los Angeles and ready for action!
Check out the new DrewNews.com that just went live and I'll be adding more stuff soon. The Kill Your Television VFX breakdown offers massive plot spoilers to my 8 minute epic so watch out!
Kill You Television was well recieved at the Melbourne freinds and family special screenng. Now Jenna and I are backpacking up the east coast of Australia. We are documenting our travels in a short video travel doc that we will finish up once we get back into the US in Feb. There are so many awesome beaches everywhere! The pic is from Byron Bay that has a famous surf spot called 'the wreck' where bits of a cargoship poke through the surface of the water. The ship wrecked in 1922 durring a cyclone on the beach, been there ever since. We have been to Sydney, saw Namo & Tahir, then went surfing/body surfing with Vic and her sis, then Byron Bay, Nimbin, and cliffdicing at some waterfalls. Now we just reached the gold coast on our way to surfers paradise! Having a blast!! Later!!
