I've had my head down working on things for my MFA and other side projects that have kept me well overly committed.
Developed a top secret ride for A Walt Disney Imagineering class, made several new commercials for PopTent, worked on several shorts and feature concepts that are in development and am now working on an interactive video Projection Mapping piece for an international art exhibition called Elevate.
We just won editors choice for this crazy little Vizio commercial, called The Revolution.
'Kill Your Television' did not win the Action/Cut Film Festival, but the winners all good shorts too! Watch them Here!
In the mean time, I'm now at SCAD in Atlanta learning Shaders in Maya and soon Dynamics for Houdini. Should be an awesome year. Here is a pic of something rough I'm building for the new drewnews.com that will premiere in 2011.
I just edited/did motion graphics for this video for Atlantic Records and for some reason right now it's only available in the US and UK so says the Muse website. Tons of kids around the world has chucked it onto YouTube so that others around the world can see it too. Bellow is a mirrored one, but hopefully Muse will chuck an HD version on their website for everyone around the world to see. I still don't know why record execs think rolling distribution works. Especially with a band that already has a pretty big worldwide name. Whatever, my mom doesn't know who they are. yet. haha. enjoy!
Have some other cool stuff in the line. Doing some compositing and titles work for a feature film called 'L.A., I Hate You.' It's going to be freakn' awesome so check out it's IMDB page.
Other then that, I met/interviewed this band called 'RATT' in Ventura, California. They are a rad metal band bringing about a comeback and touring with the Scorpions this summer. Did the interview for a friend at RoadRunner Records, guess it's for a Japanese show. Been hanging around the beach, working to finish up some top secret projects, one that was shot in Australia and I think you are all going to love. Stay tuned! Later!
I need your help!! Want your legacy to live on forever immortalized with the biggest action epic short film of the century?
What to do:
Send a picture of you being brainwashed by television similar to the one below and I'll send you a talent release form that says we can use your pretty face in our picture. The deadline is NOV. 2nd!! So please send them ASAP!
Thanks!
andrew
Before I loose this link in the interweb again I wanted to share it with all of you. It is amazing for keying out less than desirable resolution green screen footage. I used it some some of the SD stuff that you see on the Hellboy 2 DVD featurettes as well as some other promotional material around the world.
Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that 'Kill Your Television' is now officially going to look amazing by the great people at Deluxe in Melbourne.
